The book covers a wide range of indications and techniques related to decision-making in practical aspects of radiotherapy planning and administration, providing support to young radiation oncologists in their care of cancer patients. It focuses primarily on practical aspects and does not aim to cover the entirety of radiotherapy, including different sites, types, and indications.
Review:
"This book provides a comprehensive overview of equipment design, basic physics, patient advice, dosimetry evaluation, and concurrent treatment strategies to enhance radiotherapy. It serves as an introductory guide for students and trainees in the field of radiotherapy, offering insights into the patient pathway and radiotherapy experience. However, it is important to verify the currency of information, particularly regarding toxicity management." (Naomi Dickie, RAD Magazine, December, 2018)
